After your solar PV system is installed, SP Group (Singapore Power) will conduct a compliance check before allowing the system to be connected to the national grid. This ensures your system is safe, correctly installed, and compliant with Energy Market Authority (EMA) and SP Services regulations. The inspection typically happens after your Licensed Electrical Worker (LEW) submits the Certificate of Compliance (COC).
SP Group inspectors will review:
The proper functioning and labeling of your distribution board (DB)
Your inverter's wiring and isolation switches
The earthing of your system
Whether your generation meter and import/export meter are correctly set up
Safety clearances and accessibility of equipment
Any non-compliance or hazards may delay approval to operate your solar system.
Make sure these documents are submitted and ready:
Certificate of Compliance (COC) from your LEW
Single-line diagram (SLD) of your electrical system
System layout plan showing location of panels, isolators, inverter
Product datasheets (inverter and panels)
Any additional documents SP Group or EMA may request based on project size or type.
