6 Easy Steps for Troubleshooting Power Trips

6 Easy Steps for Troubleshooting Power Trips

What’s Causing the Power trip?

It is common for the AC ELCB to trip during heavy rain or low grounding conditions. This safety feature prevents voltage surges during such weather.

During Power Trip

  • A Green Light Flashing

  • Appearance of an Orange Light

(As seen in the Image Below) step-1-2-576x1024.jpeg

Step 1 - Locate your main distribution board

  • Navigate to your main distribution board (DB) at Level 1

  • Verify the position of the PV Circuit Breakers. step-1-real-1-768x1024.jpeg

Step 2 - Identify circuit breakers

If Sub Distribution Board (DB) at the same level as the Inverter:

  • Locate PV Solar circuit breakers and check its position.

If there’s only one Distribution Board (DB) in the House:

  • Continue to the next step.

Step 3 - Flipped down circuit breaker

  • If any circuit breaker is flipped down, simply switch it up. Step-3-1-576x1024.jpeg

Step 4 - Ensure DC switch positions are all up

  • Examine the DC switch positions and ensure they are all in the up position.

(Normally, they should not flip down unless manually adjusted.)

Step 5 - Confirm position of AC Switch

  • Confirm the position of the AC Switch and ensure it remains on at up position.

(This switch is manual and should not flip down on its own)

Step 6 - Wait and Verify

  • Once all switches are in the correct position, wait approximately 3 minutes.

  • The green light will transition from blinking to solid. (A solid green light indicates the system is functioning normally/is generating energy and you have done all steps correctly.)
