UTICA® Rapid 800

The UTICA® Rapid 800 is installed at the solar panel level to improve the efficiency and safety of PV arrays. It helps reduce performance variations in a solar PV system resulting from shading, temperature, and other factors. The optimizers ensure each solar panel operates at its maximum power peak, increasing energy yield and improving system overall performance.(The package includes three optimizers and two matching control systems)

Another feature is that the UTICA® Rapid 800 allows for immediate and automatically shutdown of the entire solar energy system, reducing electrical hazards for first responders or maintenance crew in the case of accidents or fires. This is an essential safety feature in all PV systems, especially in case of arcing situation. This device is also able to facilitate communication between solar panels, letting panel data be transmitted to a central monitoring system. This additional feature allows for faster detection of underperformance or issues in the PV system and optimizing system´s output.
