Installation Quality

Conservation properties require more than a standard residential solar approach. Roof form, structural condition, visible elevations, heritage character and access constraints all influence how the system should be planned.

UTICA® assesses the property before selecting the mounting method, equipment location and cable route. The aim is to introduce modern solar technology while respecting the existing building and keeping future maintenance practical.

We work with trusted technology partners including REC Solar for photovoltaic modules and FIMER for inverter solutions, together with mounting, electrical protection and cabling selected around the requirements of each conservation property.

Specialized Solar Solutions for Conservation Buildings

Conservation properties have distinct architectural and structural requirements. UTICA® designs each conservation house solar installation in Singapore around the existing building, with particular attention to roof condition, visible areas, waterproofing and long-term access.

Our site assessment considers:

  • Roof load capacity and structural condition
  • Orientation and shading
  • Waterproofing and drainage
  • Visible roof areas and architectural features
  • Cable routing and equipment placement
  • Inspection and maintenance access

The mounting approach is then selected according to the roof construction:

  • Ballasted systems where suitable for flat roofs
  • Rail-based mounting for compatible pitched roofs
  • Clamp-based attachments for suitable metal roof profiles

The objective is to achieve reliable solar generation while reducing unnecessary impact on the existing roof and preserving the architectural character of the property.

From waterproofing details to corrosion-resistant components and organised cable routing, each part of the installation is planned with durability, serviceability and visual integration in mind.
