UTICA® Rapid 800 Optimizers

Panel-Level Solar Optimisation

Solar modules within the same array do not always operate under identical conditions. Partial shading, different roof orientations, module mismatch and uneven exposure can cause individual panels to perform differently.

The UTICA® Rapid 800 is a panel-level MPPT optimizer designed to help each connected photovoltaic module operate independently at its own optimal power point.

This allows the system to reduce the impact of shading or mismatch across the wider array, while providing greater design flexibility and panel-level performance visibility.

For suitable installations, Rapid 800 can increase total system yield by 10–30% compared with traditional string-only designs, particularly where roof conditions are complex or uneven.

The system also integrates safety and monitoring functions, including rapid shutdown and panel-level data visibility, as part of a wider UTICA® solar technology ecosystem.

UTICA® Rapid 800 Panel-Level MPPT Optimizers

Rapid 800 adds Maximum Power Point Tracking at individual module level.

In a conventional string arrangement, several solar modules operate together as part of the same electrical string. When one panel is affected by shading, orientation differences or other performance limitations, the wider string can also be affected.

By placing an optimizer at panel level, Rapid 800 allows each connected module to respond more independently to its own operating conditions.
